Day 6 - Pambula Beach/Eden/Saltwater Creek

With bad weather setting in the boys plan today was to go to Magic Mountain but after a phone call we found its closed on Tuesdays, So plan B was a day trip south, I don't think the boys found this as an exciting prospect.

The consolation prize was a pack of chips for morning tea.

Camp site with the rear ocean view obscured by the sea mist
First stop Pambula with the rivermouth very picturesque with the sea mist rolling in.

This photo gives the area no justice

From Pambula we headed through Eden to do a recon on Saltwater - a camping site in Ben Boyd National Park where caravans are not supposed to go. On inspection of the12 or so sites, only about 4 will fit the expanda, so with at least 4 days of bad weather heading this way hopefully we will camp here on the way home.

Rock climbing at Saltwater, Joel said "just like Hangdog"

Joel triumphant, Cody stuck and needing assistance
Michelle loves taking pictures of the boys on rocks
Another late Lunch on the way back. At a Fish Cafe on the wharf at Eden (highly recommended) - Seared Scallop and Bacon Salad, Scallops in Chilli Wine and the Mussels Killpatrick - YUM!

Eden Wharf

Hard to tell but 3 seals at the wharf.
